Year Of The Goat Watches
As part of its Métiers d’Art collection of luxury timepieces, famed Swiss company Vacheron Constantin recently unveiled the exquisite Year of the Goat watches, which are meant to honor the rapidly approaching Chinese year of the Goat. Inspired in its design by the Chinese zodiac, this watch comes with a pink gold or platinum case, and it features a vivid, artful representation of the animal in question on its dial.

This masterpiece of micro-engineering also flaunts the Hallmark of Geneva and is animated by a Calibre 2460 G4 Mechanical self-winding movement that comes with a power reserve of 40 hours. The movement includes no less than 27 jewels in its composition and is one of the finest in the world. For an extra touch of elegance and lavishness, the piece is held firmly onto its wearer’s wrist with the help of an alligator leather strap in either Brown Mississippiensis or Dark Blue.

Unlike a regular timepiece that uses hands to tell the hours, minutes and seconds, the Vacheron Constantin Year Of The Goat uses four separate apertures, two of which show the date and the month while the other two are used to measure time. Limited to just 12 pink gold versions and 12 platinum versions, this watch is in a league of its own when it comes to luxury, as most Vacheron Constantin pieces are.
