The Oasis 80 blends spaciousness with a compact design.
Today we’re going to focus a bit on the Oasis 80 Catamaran Concept, which caught our eye due to its unique design and generous amenity selection. This is not a yacht well-suited for long cruises, but you shouldn’t expect it to be anyway given that it measures 24 meters or 78 feet. The yacht represents the hard work of Lazzara Ombres Architects, and it impresses with a stepped layout that’s unlike anything we’ve ever seen before.
This layout in conjunction with a high freeboard facilitates the insertion of a full beam lower deck. This deck dramatically increases perceived interior space, but the designers also used another trick in order to make everything roomier. Usually, catamarans have dedicated areas for technical equipment, but the Oasis 80 catamaran concept uses that space to house water toys and a small beach club. It even boasts integrated compressors and compartments that deploy jet skis or tenders.
Oasis 80 power and accommodations.
Power-wise, this thing gets its juice from a single Cat C18 830BHP engine. The engine ensures a top speed of 20 knots, as well as a cruising speed of 17 knots, which is respectable. In cruise mode, the catamaran offers a range of 672 nm.
As far as accommodations are concerned, there’s enough space onboard for 10 guests. However, the owners get to enjoy their own private apartment outfitted with fold-down balconies.
The unique Oasis 80 catamaran concept will enter the spotlight at the 2018 Ft. Lauderdale Boat Show.
