Oh, come now, don’t act so surprised! It’s no big secret that the richest animal lovers of our world spend overwhelming amounts of money just to keep their favorite companions safe and comfortable. As far as cat owners are concerned, they’ll soon be able to check in their pampered felines at the world’s first five-star hotel for cats, which is located in Damansara, near Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Dubbed Catzonia, the establishment includes four individual room types, with the Very Very Important Cat (VVIC) bedrooms being the most expensive at $38 per night. This 35 square foot room features its own playground, king-sized beds, and air-conditioning, which means that the lucky pets will want for nothing during their stay. Some of the most popular treatments include blow-dries, manicures, supervised play sessions with other cats, and three gourmet meals.
Each room is equipped with a CCTV system, which links up to the owner’s smartphone via a dedicated app. One of the hotel’s representatives had a few words to say about Catzonia, and about the service that the hotel provides:
“We believe cats need holidays too. Cats always prefer to be treated as a boss. It means the environment must be felt like home, always being cuddled and hugged, and most importantly they don’t want to feel lonely.”
