Piaget reveals the unique Altiplano Ultimate 910P.
Today we’re going to focus a bit on one of the most feminine and striking timepieces in existence – a complex masterpiece signed by Piaget. The Altiplano Ultimate 910P was revealed just before the prestigious 2018 SIHH expo. What makes it special is that it takes the crown of the thinnest hand-wound watch in the world from Bulgari’s Octo Finissimo Automatic. While that particular watch boasted 5.15mm in thickness, Piaget’s offering comes in at just 4.3mm. That’s going to be very hard to beat.
The watch also marks the 60th anniversary of the Altiplano model, and its design borrows heavily from the Piaget Altiplano 38mm 900P. Released in 2013, that piece held the world record for the thinnest mechanical watch for two years. The Altiplano Ultimate 910P comes with a 41mm case in 18k white and pink gold. Moreover, the case sits firmly on the wearer’s wrist courtesy of a black alligator leather strap complemented by a matching gold pin buckle.
Movement and price tag.
As for the power, it comes from a Caliber 910P that operates at a frequency of 3Hz and incorporates 238 components. A power reserve of 50 hours is also a part of the deal, which is quite impressive. The rose gold avatar of the Piaget Altiplano Ultimate 910P costs $26,000. The white gold variant is a bit more expensive at $27,000.
